KEMPTVILLE, ON – Aspiring Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians (RVTs) now have access to a new resource that offers advice and encouragement from experienced RVTs.

‘From Experience… Advice to my younger RVT self’ is a collection of inspirational quotes and advice created by the Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada (RVTTC). The eBook covers a range of topics including self-confidence, ongoing learning, patience, technical tips, work-life balance and more.

Shannon Brownrigg, Executive Director and CEO of RVTTC, said the eBook was created to encourage young RVTs as they begin their career and RVTs struggling in their current situations.

“Starting a new job or admitting you are struggling can be really intimidating but knowing that there is a tight-knit community within the RVT profession will help give fellow RVTs the confidence they need to excel in their career.”

The RVTTC wants to thank all the RVTs who took the time to reflect on their experiences and share their wisdom. The number of responses received surpassed what was anticipated, reflecting the generous and caring nature of the RVT community. Your words of advice will have a huge impact on the future of the veterinary industry.

The RVTTC also wants to extend a special thank you to VCA Animal Hospitals for their generous sponsorship of the eBook mentoring guide.
