HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada (RVTTC) is honoured to receive an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) during their 2022 Awards of Distinction Program. The awards are in celebration of organizations who excel in association leadership, structure and governance; and/or the planning and execution of internal, external and integrated programs that serve members and engage external stakeholders and volunteers. The award was presented on October 21, 2022 in Halifax.
As an organization representing over 10,000 members across Canada, RVTTC is dedicated to advancing and strengthening the RVT profession nationwide, through initiatives like a National Standard of Practice and the RVT Career NavigatorTM, a bilingual national career planning and advancement website dedicated to Registered Veterinary Technologists/Technicians. There is no other source in Canada that provides this comprehensive knowledge base and wealth of information and connection to the veterinary technology profession.
RVTTC is proud to be recognized by the CSAE for our contributions as a Canadian association. The CSAE Awards were presented based on five achievements in one of the CSAE competencies. RVT Career Navigator was recognized in the Deliver Value category. Additionally, the RVT Career Navigator was recognized for its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals #4 Quality Education and #8 Decent Work and Economic Growth. “We are grateful to the CSAE for recognizing RVT Career Navigator and the RVTTC with this award,” said RVTTC Executive Director, Cera Youngson. “We are honoured and pleased to be recognized alongside the other deserving organizations and their member-serving projects.
