In partnership with Petplan Pet Insurance, the Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada (RVTTC) is excited to announce that the nomination process for the annual RVTTC Student bursary program is open for 2021.
In its FIFTH year, the annual educational scholarship goes to a final-year veterinary/animal health technician/technologist student who exemplifies compassionate care, goes above and beyond to improve the profession and demonstrates considerable clinical strength.
One $500.00 bursary is presented to one student from each provincial association regions.
A total of 30 AHT/VT students have benefited from this award as they pursue their career as a RVT. Thank you Petplan for your continued support of RVTs and students!!
Students are nominated by program faculty demonstrating the following qualities:
- Students enrolled in CVMA and/or OAVT accredited AHT/VT program
- Maintain good academic standing (min average 65%)
- Express sincere interest in the Human-Animal Bond and demonstrates a high-level proficiency in the handling of dogs and cats and associated skill components
- Display interest in client communication
- Preference will be given to those who have contributed to their community in a manner that demonstrates their love and compassion for animals.
Each accredited VT/AHT program may submit a letter of nomination form to Shannon Brownrigg, Executive Director RVTTC/TTVAC: sbrownrigg@rvttcanada.ca.
Deadline for submission is January 29, 2021.
