The online Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) Emergency Preparation course is now available for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and technologists as well as industry personnel who may provide support during the emergency.
Master the latest information, training and procedures in disease recognition and response in this cost-effective, Canadian context course. The self-paced course can be completed in just 12 hours over a four-week period from the comfort of home or office. Attached is the course overview.
The course is provided by the Animal Health Emergency Management (AHEM) project in partnership with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD), the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture APHIS VS (USDA).
This program has been submitted (but is not yet approved) for 12 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval.
