Nominations for this award are submitted annually from provincial member associations and are reviewed carefully by the RVTTC Board of Directors in an effort of choosing a candidate that exemplifies the definition of an outstanding individual in the profession of veterinary technology. Selecting award winners can be quite difficult, especially with over 8700 RVTs across Canada.

The commitment she demonstrate to investigate, research, and educate herself in all details surrounding the use of radiation in the veterinary workplace. Creating and delivering the Hands-Free Xrays training has made a significant impact on both the health and safety but also the production of quality radiographs utilizing techniques for the benefit of both the RVT and the patient. Julia has also been active volunteer as a past member of the OAVT board of directors.
