Hill’s Pet Nutrition Canada Inc. and the Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada are very pleased to present the 2018 RVT of the Year to Ms. Bernice Ruf. As a SAVT member Bernice thoroughly enjoys mentoring high school, veterinary technology, and veterinary students. She began instructing at Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Veterinary Technolo
gy Program in August 2010 and in August 2016 she earned an advanced certificate with Distinction in the Faculty Certificate Program of Adult Education. Her passion is teaching others about the amazing world of veterinary technology and instilling a passion for the profession in her students. She is a past board member of the Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists and currently serves as a committee member. Being a board member has created lifelong friendships, a deeper understanding of the profession, and a strong desire to continue to promote the profession.
